Testimonials

Lisa Krause was my twin boy’s preschool teacher and was always patient, kind, and nurturing toward all the children. She had a creative way to bring learning experience into everyday activities. I contribute my kid’s love for stories and music to their experience with Lisa in preschool. She can inspire students to explore their gifts, and I am confident that she will continue her positive influence on many students to come.
— Amanda Wood
We love how Lisa explores the world through storytelling, poetry, and music. The projects my
daughters worked on with her were always layered with thought, meaning and connections. She allowed them to be who they are and showed them how to be their most expressive, artistic selves!
— Joanna Bean Martin
Lisa showed a new avenue of music by introducing the piano to my daughter. Her enthusiasm and broad knowledge of music both past and current was contagious. Lisa’s lessons were energetic, fun and challenging – we looked forward to them each week.

About Me:

Lisa Krause/Owner & Lead Teacher

Hello, I am Lisa Krause, owner and lead guide at Sweet Clover Preschool. I have worked for 20+ years in Early Childhood Education and also as a Private Music tutor focusing on Guitar, Piano, and Music Theory. In opening Sweet Clover, I am committed to serve Portland families by opening this Music, Art, and Science focused Preschool.

In 20+ years of experience as a Preschool Teacher in my hometown of Portland, Oregon, I’ve noticed a great need for reasonably priced, high-quality Preschools and know that many families experience high tuition rates and long waitlists for the best programs available to meet their needs and do the important job of readying their children for entry into grade school. I have had the opportunity to teach in several different ECE teaching styles (Montessori, Waldorf, Reggio Emilia) and I am ready to offer families a mix of innovative and traditional practices at Sweet Clover Preschool.
